Mum’s Boiled Chocolate Cake Recipe
o 4oz butter
(114 grams)
o 1 1/2 cup
sugar
o 1 cup water
o 1/2
teaspoon bi-carb soda
o 2 heaped
tablespoons cocoa
o 1 tsp
vanilla essence
o 1 1/2 cup self-rising
flour
o 2 eggs
o In a large saucepan
put sugar butter water cocoa van essence and soda
o Stir over
low heat until sugar dissolves and the butter melts
o Bring to
the boil and simmer for 5 mins
o Let cool
then whisk in the flour and eggs
o Pour into a
greased and lined tin and bake 180c for 1 hour
o Any size
tin will do. Round, square or loaf style
